La pollution lumineuse – workshops with Alice Pallot

During a workshop at Collège des Campelières in March 2026, Alice Pallot invited students to reinterpret and take ownership of data related to nighttime light pollution in the Alpes-Maritimes region.
Within this framework, she explored the notions of biodiversity and habitat, both affected by light pollution—a form of pollution less well known than chemical contamination or waste-related pollution.
The aim of the workshop was to guide students in creating a visual narrative around light pollution and the species affected in Mougins, blending documentary and fiction, and making visible a line of research that incorporates elements usually invisible.

The photography workshops were part of the Press and Media Week.
We would like to thank Alice Pallot for this initiative, ahead of a research and experimental residency she will begin at the Mougins Center of Photography in May 2026.
